Sunset / Grey Light

Alone through the Sunset

Days are drifting by
sunshine cries distance
and the shadows growing long now
child of the twilight alone.

Let the summer grow in cold light
let the leaves fall
I’ll walk into darkness alone

And I’ll face the day
with the wind and the rain
And I turn my gaze away

a lonely teardrop in my eye I leave for tomorrow
alone through to nowhere I’ll go

And I’ll face the day
with the wind and the rain
And I turn my gaze away
And I take the blame
when it’s always the same
I can’t if I can’t get away

Face of Stone

a tear on the face of stone
autumn came all alone
the small ones fall of a wind blow

they never told you so
that one day you’d have to go
to go and kiss the face of stone

In the Grey Light  (Koivunen/Kuisma)

In the rain in the sad street
raincoat strangers
umbrella rangers on their low altitude flight

grey paint falling from the cloudy height
the wet wind grabs my golden leaves
I’m on my own again
still singing.
